MORTALS!! I’m back… in Melbourne. Two weeks back in Malaysia just flew by really quickly and mostly uneventful with few key events… but more on that later… so lets get cracking… sit on down and i'll tell ye a story…
Once upon a time,… WAT THE HECK!! What idiot starts a story with that??!! haha… what? No one thought that was funny??? Man no one gets my humour… anyway this is how i spent my weekend, mostly back in Melbourne..
On a wonderful Saturday morning… ok, it wasn’t that wonderful… it was 5.30 in the morning and it was drizzling… lame… SIs had some activity in the morning and needed to be there by 7… –.- so needed to leave earlier to drop her off first,… In a rush checked through everything i was bringing back and locked my luggage bag and we left.. After dropping my sis off at school, made a speedy journey to the airport,… ( we turned a nearly 50 min drive into a 30 min drive == how fast do you think we were going?) anyway checked in my luggage had my last McDonalds breakfast with mom and dad, then in to the satellite terminal i go… Before i boarded managed to squeeze in some time to sms all my friends ( who will all be sorely missed, some more than others T.T) goodbye… Spent a 7 hour flight next to a HUGE aussie whom i shared a seat which obeys Newton’s second (or third) law of motion… You know, the one about the equal opposite force thingy… In this case every time he pushes down on his seat, i felt that same opposite force pushing on to me.. –.- how lame is that, doesn’t help that his legs kept cramping and he needed to stretch… VERY often… yeesh… Landed in Melbourne around say 7-ish, gone thru customs (ridiculously long queue) and bagagge reclaim… Picked up my heavy bag and ( Shoulder popped out of socket again…) someone screamed my arm was broken, then it came back…== interesting… plus you know the show border security, they were filming that night… and the camera crew arrived,… made a lot of fuss… but i managed to slip out of it eventually… went thru the quarantine zone and took a cab home to Arrow… After settling a bit… met with amran, ping and henry for MY dinner… got a bite to eat then played pool till 12… then sleep..
Next morning, woke up at 11 when i was supposed to meet ping chien for lunch at 11.30 or so… so i rushed awake and waited for ping’s arrival. He left his bag in my room then we headed for Dessert house for lunch… after that it was off to some harmony walk or walk of harmony thingy… celebrating Melbourne’s multi-culturalism…yay… Amran ditched us cause he slept in… ==
Now let the pictures tell you what i saw…
That quite a lot of people.. who knew multi-culturalism was so popular… Now the individual cultures…
There’s one from Macedonia and another from… Karen apparently…
This be the what i like to call the free stuff centre, they were handing out XXL shirts, balloons and flags that give people paper cuts.. YAY…
Meet the ladies of the Guang Dong province of China , drums and colourful outfits and all..
This lady from, i don’t know where was doing a dance, chanting and stuff… maybe it was a rain dance… it WAS cloudy that day…
Oh look!! Pygmy Lions!! This one looked as if it were wagging its tail…. the other was being petted.. == ok the boy does realise he was petting a grown man underneath a costume… right?
Haha.. who’s filming who,mate?
Dragons all say “ GIMME THE BALL!!”
There’s even a pygmy dragon… aww cute…
The Tamils…
The University of Melbourne Group.. haha.. in discord might i add…
Tamils and the Sikhs….
While everyone else had nice big banners, Indonesia had that two little boards… haha..
Genghis Khan-ians!!!
ok, i just like this banner… what? nobody else likes the fact that it has a big NO on it?
Remember him? He’s the man who was leading our college’s Big Noise program… haha nice to see he hasn’t lost his obsession with his drums.. Credits to Ping who spotted him,…
All Right the walk has FINALLY started… look at all of them waving their banners wildly… and us walking down with them taking pictures… felt like it was a rebellion haha… which i kept claiming it is… (ping got very annoyed with that) Also, the rest of the pics before this was still at Carlton Gardens where they spent 3 hours preparing….
Look at Ping… waving his flag in front of a raging crowd… brave man…but i was braver, cause i was walking backwards behind a raging crowd….
Ping decided to climb onto a road divider to take stampede photos… haha.. while i decided to take him… He looks surprised…. in a way he looked liked he was wearing a white scarf… while it was actually his free XXL T-shirt…
Look at how many people joined… nice… also in the second pic, does the guy in the grey-ish striped shirt in the middle look like the retarded cab driver from “You don’t mess with the Zohan”?
And who could forget the POLISH!! Also, you have no idea how hard it is to get the second pic… i was smack dab in the middle and got this awesome shot…
And here’s EB games… where i buy my various computer games… go visit it some time.. No, the company did not pay me to advertise them…
WHO LET THE DOGS OUT????
Even the dogs decided to join in the walk… haha… i guess the species of the dog goes along with the multi-culturalism theme… ok, technically the last one is a goat… but isn’t that all part of multi-culturalism? All equals… ;P
Ahh.. Flinders Station… the end of our walk…
Federation Square with the big TV screen and concert stage…
Me…
Ping Chien… and if u look close enough, u’d see a second image of himself on the screen as well… haha ironic… i didn’t even realise it until i started blogging…
These were all deliberate and in the second pic, we're both init, just that my back was turned to capture this image itself….
Announcer, guest speaker and band (respectively)
Last pic of Ping, he was so obsessed with himself he kept asking me to take his pic in dat stance…
Aight, the day was not over yet… but after putting on so much pics in one go, i’ll save it for tomorrow…
This is Hell Cat signing out…
P.S. Credits to windows live writer, no upload time needed for photos… Makes blogging with pics WAY easier… THX Ping Chien… even though your a WEE bit self-obsessed…
